To inquire if Street Hockey games have been cancelled due to inclement weather, please telephone the WBCYC concession at 631.661.1333 press "4" at prompt. Cancellations are not permitted without the consent of the WBCYC Board of Directors.

Overview
The Hockey program is a coed league for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16 years (within the calendar year). We offer several divisions. Divisions are determined by registration turn-out. Please Note - Youngest aged Division is instructional and no score will be kept (the clock is only used for time) and play is indoors (The Patrick M. Farrell Gym). Coaches for this division will instruct children on how to play using the WBCYC hockey rules as a guide. All other divisions play outdoor and according to the WBCYC rules.
Uniform required consists of a WBCYC reversible jersey which can be purchased at Murphy's Sport Shack located at 101 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon Village (631 669-9836)

Practices and Games
Prior to the start of games, practices will be scheduled at the WBCYC. After the start of games, practices are at the discretion of the coach. The WBCYC is able to loan most equipment needed for regular play including helmets, shin guards, gloves and elbow pads, as well as, goalie equipment. Referees are employed for regular season games. The regular season is played on the weekends during the Fall and Winter. Games are between 1 and 11/2 hours each on either Saturday or Sunday. Cancellations or changes to game schedule is not permitted without the consent of the WBCYC Board of Directors

Registration
Registration fee for the 2010/2011 Season will increase to $60. Late registration cost will be $70.
Teams are draft driven. Registrations received after completed draft will be placed on the next available team with the least amount of players, space providing.

  • MUST be submitted before the start date of 1st scheduled practice.
  • In writing, including reason for request.
  • Require approval by the Board of Directors.
  • Will NOT be considered, if received after 1st scheduled start date.
